First powered paragliding held in Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh is one of the best adventurous sports site in India. Now Himachal Government has also decided to promote adventure sports in Himachal Pradesh. In this article you will find complete information regarding Himachal's first paragliding adventure show. This show was conducted on friday 21 Oct 2012 and very skilled and highly qualified pilots from Indian Air Force (IAF) took part in this event. This show was like promotion event for upcoming International Paragliding Championship in Himachal Pradesh which is going to held at Birh Billing place in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is the beginning of aero sports in Himachal Pradesh and for the very first time Kangra and Mandi districts of Himachal witnessed such kind of aero show. The route of this show was over Baijnath, Palampur and Dharamshala. This information was given by JR Katwal who is the director youth affairs and sports. As discussed above that this show was like promotion activity and all the contestants starts their journey with the banner wearing the name- International Himalayan Paragliding Championship- 2011. All the professional gliders also gave information about the use of paragliding machines and tools. Squadron Leader, Ramakant Vashisht who is very famous pilot also took part in this contest. He was on his para motor and landed in Dharamsala in very early morning. This contest was a race of about 150 kilometers and all the contests covers this distance within three hours.
