Sundarnagar: History and origin of this place
In Himachal Pradesh there are about 12 districts in which one of the district is Mandi district which is situated in the North East of the map and which is surrounded with Kullu, Shimla and Bilaspur district. In this district there is a small but one of the beautiful towns of this district which is known as Sundarnagar which is about 15 km from the Mandi. This district mainly came into existence on April 15, 1948 by separating the Suket and Mandi. In the ancient times Sundarnagar was the capital of the Suket state. In the earlier days before the independence this district was ruled by the local king but after independence it was ruled by the state as well as central government.


This place is situated on the corner of the river, on the left side bus stand there is big river is flowing and in evening you can also walk on the bank of the river with your friends.


Main attraction of the place
This place is basically education hub of the Mandi district and also for the state, in this place there are so many colleges in which there is Engineering college, Polytechnic college, Under Graduate College, it is and other colleges and institutes are present in which so many students from the district as well as outside the districts are presently taking education.


Apart from it there are so many temples and other historical monuments are available in this place where you can visits and know the brief history of this place and also regarding this districts.


There are so many nearby places for wondering like Manali, Kullu, Mandi and also Rewalsar where you can enjoy various sporting adventures with your friends and families.


How to reach
This place is situated about 15 km from the Mandi on the Kullu road and you can easily reach this place by bus as well taxi there are so many buses are available for this place from the other place of the state as well as other parts of the country. And according to me March to May and from August to October is the best time to visit this place because during that time this place is neither too much hot nor cold.
