The visitors who come here can also spot variety of bird like little green heron, grey heron, paradise flycatcher, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Common Grey Hornbill, White bellied Drong, Collared Scop's owl, Spotted Owlet, Eurasian Eagle owl, Mottled Wood Owl and Brown Fish owl at this Bannerghatta National Park.

Other attractions here includes Uddigebande which is around 3.5 km and a natural formation known as Hajjamana Kallu which is 3 km in length and another one is called Mirza Hill which is 1.5 km length, other added attraction here is open jeeps, vans, mini buses and elephants, and other facilities like amateur fishing, and another attraction here is a circular boat which is made up of Bamboo and buffalo hide and also with coir is also available for riding, other facilities like bird watching, river rafting, trekking and outdoor camping also available here at Bannerghatta National Park.

A stream called Suvarnamukhi which originates from Suvarnamukhi hills, is passing through this park, a famous champaka Dhama Swamy temple at the foot of the rock hill, which is built in old Dravidian architectural style, according to historians this temple was built by Hoysalas, and the people believe that the water in the Suvarnamukhi river is have a special healing and curative power.

Bannerghatta National Park - How to reach & Tourist Information



If one wants to reach this place through road, it is 22 kms away from Bangalore, plenty of buses will travel to this place from City Market, Kempegowda Bus stand, other buses which goes towards Anekal will also go this park. No lodging or accommodation facilities are available here at this park.

Visiting hours is morning 9 a.m. to evening 5 p.m, and every Tuesday is holiday.

For Indian Citizens Rs. 325/- per head, for foreign citizens US $15/- per head

Tourists will accommodated with a well equipped big vans managed by state owned Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation.
