The climate in Karnataka is reasonably good at most times of the year, although it is best to avoid the July- August months as sometimes the heavy monsoons can create havoc of your trip. Hence, it is best to visit the Bannerghatta Biological Park during the months of September to January.

For those who love the outdoors, the best time to visit the Bannerghatta Biological Park is during the Wildlife Week in the first week of October . Every year during this week, Karnataka state forest department organises wonderful nature programs in tandem with nature clubs and organizations.

As for the best timings to visit the Bannerghatta Biological Park, it is during the morning hours. If you arrive early morning by 9 a.m. when the park opens, you can avoid the long queues and spend a comfortable 4-5 hours. When there are hordes of visitors, you will necessarily have to wait for your turn to get on the bus for the safari rides. If you reach early, you will not only enjoy the safari rides, but also get time to enjoy a picnic within the park premises (pack a picnic-lunch basket!).
