vinayaka Krishna Gokak known as V.Kru.Gokak was well known writer in kannada language and 5th jnanapeetha awrdee in kannada language.He born in 1909 and died in 1992.

He was student of Karnataka College Dharwad.He was the principal of Willingdon College.Sangli.

He has written novels, epic, poetry collections.He has been awarded for his novel " Bharatha sindhu rashmi", which is considered as longest epic written in any language in 20th century.
