Jamalabad Fort


This fort was built by the ruler of erstwhile Mysore Tipu Sultan in the year 1794 and this fort was name after his late mother Jamalbi.

Horanadu


The beautiful temple of Goddess Adi-Shaktyatmaka Shri Annapoorneshwari, whch installed in the year 1973 and recently Goddess Adishakti's stature was installed which is the main attraction at this place, pilgrims provided free boarding and lodging here by the temple. The main statue of the goddess is made in pure gold, overall this place is most recommended for visiting.

Sringeri


This is another holy place where the oldest structural temples like Vidya Shankara, Sri Sharada Devi are here, here too meals and breakfast facilities are available.

Hanuman Gundi


This is the main attraction one who visits Kudremukh will never miss this place, a beautiful waterfall is here which very picturesque and eye catching, this waterfall which falls from more than 100 feet which is an exciting scenery at this place. Going near the waterfall is very easy as the forest department has constructed steps to get down to see the waterfalls but for maintenance they are charging a nominal fee.

Gangamoola Parvata


This is a mount which is 1458 meters above sea level, which is also a confluence of three rivers Tunga, Bhadra and Netravati and their origin is from Western Ghats, the UNESCO has designated this place as the World Heritage Site.

An inaccessible cave in monsoons which is having a 6 feet Varaha statue and another temple of Goddess Bhagavathi are the two main attractive places here. This place is rich in iron ore and also contains rich deposits of magnetite quartzite. And due to density of forest this place is habitat of as many as 107 species of birds.

Lakya Dam


Lakya is the tributary of Bhadra river, this is the place of check dam which was built by Kudremukh Iron Ore Company at an height of 100 meters, the main purpose of this dam is to collect waste materials out of the mining operations and contents here are more a silt than a water.

This dam is situated at the backdrop of hilly terrains which is picturesque in nature, the beauty with serene nature has attracts many tourists throughout the year.

Kudremukh National Park


This is a reserve forest which is also having global tiger conservation project, covering an area of 600 square meter, this wildlife area is place under World Wide Fund of USA and Wildlife Conservation Society.

Many wild animals like wild dogs, leopards and tigers can be seen here along with endangered mammals and rare kind of snakes are also can be seen here.

Kudremukh Peak


This is the highest peak of the state of 1894 meters above the sea level and dense forest has covered this area, this place has been considered as trekkers paradise with abundant quantity of flora and fauna found here

Kalasa


Kalasa literally means water pot, god Kalaseswara Temple is here, this is temple town which is situated on the banks of the holy river Bhadra, Girija Kalyana is the biggest festival for the people of this place. Basically this is an agricultural land, major crops here are Coffee, many varieties of Ayurvedic and herbal plants are grown here along with spices. Many privates resorts are available here for lodging, this is also a nice place to spend a little time.
