Kodachadri is located in Hosanagar taluk of Shimoga district in Karnataka. Kodachadri is 1343 meters above sea level & is the highest peak of western ghats in Shimoga. The distance from bangalore to Kodachadri is 375 km. Recently, Karnataka govt. declared the "Ambara Gudda" region (about 250 hectares) of Kodachadri as one of the Natural Heritage Sites of Karnataka.
