Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) in Anekal, Bangalore


Muthyala Maduvu is a tourist spot in Bangalore. It is also called as ‘Pearl Valley’. The reason behind the name Pearl valley is because the water drops resembles ‘muthu’ which in kannada means Pearl. This is one of the picnic spots with a captivating waterfall which is formed by thin jets of water which gushes down from a height of 90 meters.

The Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) is very beneath the top of the road way. From the road ways, there are steps which leads to this place. Beneath the steps, there is a small waterfall area. There is also a Shiva Temple near the stream. Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) is a good place to go with family and group of friends. Since the place is very lonely, it is not advisable to go alone. People in groups will be ideal and entertaining. There is also another valley if one goes further. There is a big hill from which we can see water fall. The Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) will be more in rainy season and good to watch. In summer the rainfall will be less and we can see very less water falling from the hill. The entire place is beneath the hilly area which resembles a forest.

There is a hotel near Muthyalamaduvu which offers food. There is also a public toilet facility. But usually people come to this place with their own home made packed foods.

How to reach Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) Karnataka

Muthyala Maduvu can be reached in two ways. One via Hosur Road and the other via Bannerghatta Road.

How to reach Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) From Bannerghatta :-

The visitors who go to Bannerghatta can perhaps have a look at Bsmmerghatta which is one of the tourist spots in Muthyala Maduvu, Karnataka. It is difficult to rely on public transport and moving by own vehicle and reaching Bannerghatta, Karnataka is idea. While going towards Bannerghatta National Park, there is a circle near the Bannerghatta Police Station, take the left turn which is the road which leads to Anekal. Once you reach Anekal town, you will have to take a left deviation on to a smaller town road. About 5 kms from here is Muthyalamaduvu. After travelling for sometime, you reach a busy town market. Take right from here & continue on the journey. When you reach a board announcing some Nature club/resort, turn right & then take the road going up when you reach a 3-way junction.

How to reach Muthyala Maduvu Waterfalls (Pearl Valley) From Hosur Road

While going towards Hosur from Bangalore, watch out for Narayana Health City. From there you have take a left from under that next flyover. You will see an obscure "Anekal" sign board before you reach the flyover. From there, you will be on State Highway 87 which is Anekal Main Road. Go straight until you reach Anekal town. Then you need to take a left towards Anekal Athibele Road or State Highway 35. You can ask for Taluk Office or Anekal Bus stand. Continue on this road. From Bus-stand, after about 2 Kms, you have to deviate on to left smaller road from the state highway. . Once you reach Anekal town, Karnataka you will have to take a left deviation on to a smaller town road. About 5 kms from here is Muthyalamaduvu. After travelling for sometime, you reach a busy town market. Take right from here & continue on the journey. When you reach a board announcing some Nature club/resort, turn right & then take the road going up when you reach a 3-way junction.
