Recent Issue of Karnataka State Hockey Association (KSHA):

Such a well-known Sport Club is the Karnataka State Hockey Association (KSHA) and this Sports Club is now under trouble. There is a problem due to the notice placed by the excise department against having this Club House inside the layout of Akkithimmanahalli.

Core reason for the Karnataka State Hockey Association issue:

There are various Clubs even located near and around this place like the Cricket ground next to the KSHA and the Bangalore Football Stadium located 2 bus stops away from KSHA. "When there are no issues for all those Sports Clubs, what makes the Karnataka State Hockey Association alone targeted". This is the question that raises in the minds of the association members regarding the notice issued by the excise department to KSHA. This case is heard by Vimala Gowda, the head of petition commission.

Reason for the notice revealed on KSHA

The research on this issue reveals that one of the KSHA association members, M Krishna has sent a complaint to Vimala, the head of petition commission and this is the reason for the issue of the notice.

What made the KSHA's member send a complaint?

According to the complaint that M Krishna sent to the head of petition commission, he opposes the running of the Sports Club as there is a Sports hostel and a temple nearer to this hockey stadium. In addition to this point, he says that the residents around the stadium dislike the club house to be continued there, as liquor is distributed to the members of the Club. This liquor supply has changed the KSHA sports club into a bar which is against the lease agreement.

Action taken against the Complaint of KSHA members

:
As the sports club is licensed, the KSHA supplies liquor to its member, but as drugging is illegal and as a complaint has risen, the excise department, BBMP estate officers and Vimala Gowda heading the petition commission together conducted an investigation and have cancelled the licence to the bar club of KSHA.

Karnataka State Hockey Association (KSHA) members opinion about the notice by Excise Dept:

The club house of the KSHA argues that they have never violated the rules and regulations of the lease agreement and thus KSHA has put an application to the petition commission and the excise department to revert the licence for the club. The KSHA's members say that the complaint filed on the sports club is not true as the sports club is not a disturbance to the sports hostel in any way as there is an independent and a disconnected entrance for the sports hostel and the KSHA's sports club house. As the members say, the map also shows the KSHA's club house too farther from the temple. "The KSHA has the club house for more than 16 years, and there has not been a single issue regarding this", say the members of KSHA's sports club. It was also insisted that M Krishna, a member of KSHA has put a petition as the political parties forced to do so.

It is known from one of the association members that a tax of 5 lakh is being paid to run the club house as excise tax. The development of sports is taken care by the money earned from the club house. "The number of members in the KSHA club was 2,500 and currently this count has fallen down to a lot some. The staff count of the KSHA club was 50 and now everyone is jobless.

It has also come to notice that the KSHA club is also trying with MP Renukacharya, the excise minister as an intermediate to get licence to run the bar in the KSHA's club house.
