Bangalore University allows failed students to write Exam


Bangalore University has announced to give a chance to failed candidates in Bangalore University to appear for examination as per recent announcement made on 27th August 2011. this will be helpful for students to appear for examination and get through their arrears at within a short time.

Bangalore University (BU) as one measure has announced to give the failed candidates two chances in consecutive Examinations (November 2011/April 2012) for all failed students who have completed the courses but are yet to complete their degrees subject to the following conditions:-

Students to annual scheme including the distance education, can appear for the examination under the present scheme conducted by Bangalore University Directorate of Distance Education.

If the subjects are not available in the present scheme, students will be suggested to pass equivalent or similar subjects under the existing pattern with the approval of chairpersons of the Board of Chairpersons of the Boar of Study at both the degree and PG level.

Students under the annual scheme can select a similar existing subject, if available in equivalent degrees under the Directorate of Distance education or similar subjects will be suggested under the present scheme in which students will be entitled for paper marks only, excluding internal assessment. Students will have to obtain minimum p[assign marks, subject to the approval of the concerned BoS.

Students of semester scheme who have completed the course but are yet to pass the degree can take the odd and even semester examinations under the existing scheme and syllabus for two attempts in each odd and even semesters.

Principal of affiliated colleges should permit students who have completed 6 years in UG and 4 Years in PG courses and have failed in certain subjects to appear for the November 2011/April 2012 exam. This was announced by Registrar of Bangalore University.
