Uttarkashi is a religious place in Uttarakhand and is situated at a distance of 148 Km from Rishikesh which is one of the most famous religious place of India. Uttarkashi is situated at an altitude of about 1150 meters from sea level. It is situated on the bank of river Bhagirathi. Uttarkashi is a well known destination on one's way to Gangotri which is the origin of holy river Ganga.

How to reach Uttarkashi



Uttarkashi is easily accessible from all the major parts of India. One can reach here
from all the cities of Uttarakhand. It is 100 km away from Gangotri and is 130 km away from Yamunotri.
You can get bus, taxi or jeep from any part of Uttarakhand. One can also hire the car in the range INR 1800 – 2000 from both
Haridwar and Rishikesh. One can reach Uttarkashi within 6 – 7 hours from Haridwar and rishikesh.
