The BIRLA INSTITUTE OF APPLIED SCIENCE was established in 1969.The BIAS was affiliated to UTTARAKHAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY. The director of BIAS was Dr.A.K.pant. The BIAS has the academic staff of 23 members and the students are 570 in numbers. The BIRLA INSTITUTE OF APPLIED SCIENCE was situated in BHIMTAL; in NANITAL the district of UTTARAKHAND.The Nanital was considered as an tourist place and also famous for the cool environment place. In BIRLA INSTITUTE OF APPLIED SCIENCE (BIAS) different courses were introduced. Here is full detail about them-
1)UNDERGRADUATED COURSES
In BIAS under UNDERGRADUATED COURSES two courses were introduced one is Engineering In Electronic And Communication (E.C.E) and the other one is Engineering In Computer Science (C.S.E).These courses are based upon the AIEEE ,which was conducted by CBSE ,New Delhi and Central Counseling by CCB.
2)POSTGRADUATED COURSES
In BIAS under POSTGRADUATED COURSES one courses was generally introduced that is M.C.A .This was based on the common entrance test (C.E.T), which was conducted by UTTARAKHAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY.
For the undergraduate courses there are only 120 seats to intake per year
And for the postgraduate courses there are only 40 seats to intake per year
INFRASTRUCTURE:- This institute consists of central academic block, computer labs, and the separates hostels for girls and boys, having the separates mess, cafeteria and PCO were also installed for the betterment of the student's .The workshops also present in the college also having the laboratory blocks present in the colleges.
