Doon University is one of the finest university of state Uttarakhand. Doon University is established in year 2005 and the vice chancellor of this university is Prof. Grijesh Pant. This University of Uttarakhand state is situated in Dehradun. This university of Dehradun was established by an act of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in October 2005 and the first academic session starts on 9th May 2009. Doon university has been experiencing in the area of excellence in higher education. It aims to provide lead in frontier areas of research & methods of pedagory. Doon university is located on the eastern part of Dehradun district. There are two campus of Doon university. First campus is situated in Kedarpur (Dehradun) and the second campus offering science and technology courses is situated in Sahaspur (Dehradun).
