1. Age: up to 25 years. For reserved category candidates, the minimum age is 32 years.

2. Physical Requirements:-
(a) Height for male candidates should be 165cms and for female candidates it should be 161cms.

(b) Chest for male candidates should be 79-84cms (not applicable for female candidates).

3. Educational Qualifications: Candidate should have passed the XIIth Std. Exam (H.S.C. exam).

4. Exams: All candidates have to undergo a series of physical tests and appear for an interview.

5. Training: All successful candidates must go through a training schedule for 9 months. These training sessions are given at one of the police training schools in Maharashtra.

Qualifications Eligibility Exams Training for Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Posts Maharashtra Police


1. Age: up to 28 (age relaxation up to 32 years for candidates of reserved categories )

2. Physical Requirements: not applicable

3. Educational Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline

4. Exams: Candidates have to apper for prelims and main examinations and successful candidates are then called for an interview.

5. Training: Successful candidates have to undergo 11 month training at Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik.
