Early Life of Satya Kharkar :


The legendry author Purushottam Laxman Deshpande Satya Kharkar(Pu. La. Deshpande) who was a successful Director, Actor, Music composer, orator and a Film/TV producer, once said that, "We all see the people who fight for their bread and butter and earn a successful living". As we all know this is important part of life, Pu. La. Deshpande said that, "Apart from earning bread and butter, one has to aspire for more and get attached with one of the sectors like arts, sports, singing, writing, acting and other area's of interest that one loves to do; and doing will surely teach us why is it necessary to be on this earth". Hence, Satya Kharkar is a Director who kind of followed the wording of Legend Pu. La. Deshpande. Satya Kharkar is a Software Engineer by profession where as his passion is Writing, Acting and producing Films.

The home town of Satya is Aurangabad and he has completed his school and college education from the same city of Maharashtra. During the year 1980 to 1990 he acted is some short films and plays. Satya wrote a short story and enacted in it during his college days and the theme was about "Lets Grab the Perfect Moment" and in Marathi language it is worded as "Chal Sandhi Sadhu". Its subject and theme was being liked by everyone in his college. During his college days, Satya also worked for Aakashwani Radio Station of Aurangabad and there also he wrote short stories and they were running successfully on the Radio Aakashwani of Aurangabad. After completing his Engineering Graduate Degree, Satya decided to opt for a change in field and applied for the Information Technology (IT), Professional Degree Course and completed it as well.

Achievements of Satya Parkar :


On the basis of IT Degree, Satya decided to go abroadMaharashtra Mandal Chicago and he opted for Chicago, America so as to get a good job and earn a living during the year 2001. At this time his inner voice was not letting him do only a salaried job in the IT Company at Chicago, America. Satya Kharkar suffers a Cerebral palsy disorder and it is amazing to see his love towards short films, acting and direction as well. Satya participates in various events organized in Maharashtra Mandal Chicago, America. Later he decided to go beyond Marathi Language as he firmly believed that the language does not stand as a barrier in film industry. One day he read that there is an open audition for the English short film named as "The Intelligent Design of Jonny Chow". The demand of this English short film was for a Russian Doctor or scientist. But Satya stood out in this audition and the author of English short film decided that to change the script as Indian Doctor instead of Russian Doctor. Amazingly this play got a lot of attention all around Chicago, America and every show of this show was always houseful. In this way, Satya Kharkar came to know that he can perform in English language as well.

After success is short film Actress, Director Madeline Franklin– "The Intelligent Design of Jonny Chow", Satya Kharkar decided to take proper training so as to perform in front of the International audience. Hence, he applied for a course run by Actress and Director, Madeline Franklin. She has an experience of over 30 years in the Hollywood Film Industry and Satya Kharkar worked as an Assistant director with her. Madeline Franklin successfully directed the hilarious and popular comedy TV serial M*A*S*H. Satya Kharkar learnt a lot from Madeline Franklin while working on the popular TV serial MASH which was produced by Elgin Theatre Company. After successfully working as an Assistant director, Satya started to think about his own production.

Passion of Satya Kharkar


As being a self learner right from his birth, Satya Kharkar was finally ready to start his own production. In the year 2011, he decided to launch "Anmol Movies" accompanying his brother. In the entire journey, Satya Kharkar never took off from his primary job as a Software Engineer and it is great to know that he perfectly managed his passion and profession both at the same time. In this way the, Anmol Movies production started producing short films and documentaries both in Marathi and English Language as well.

At the start, Satya Kharkar produced a documentary film representing the Maharashtra Mandal of Chicago and the beautiful surroundings of Chicago with the title "Welcome to Chicago". In the year, 2011, Satya Kharkar produced a short film named "My Dad, My Hero". This short film received an award in 'Life Fest Film Festival of 2011 in Los Angles'. The short film was also awarded the "Audience Favorite" in the 'Life Fest Film Festival of 2011 Los Angles'.



Later Kharkar also documented a 10 minute short film named "Nina's Wish". For this short ten minute film, Kharkar casted amateur artist who were in the range of 7 years to 70 years of age. After that, he noticed that many of the youth used to text message while driving their vehicle and thus he decided to do something so as to bring awareness amongst the youth. Further, Satya Kharkar produced a video for all Internet audience and it was named as "A reason to live". It was only a 31 minute short film which was based on a blooming poet, Omkar Vaidya who is also an affect of cerebral palsy disorder. Omkar Vaidya received a "National Bala Shri Award" for his creative poetry in the year 2005 from former President. Mr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Satya Kharkar has magically captured the journey of this boy, Omkar Vaidya, and his parents in the 31 minute video. Hence, "A reason to live" is the only Marathi short film which was being produced in the country of America. The video link is as follows:
