Tamil Recipe - Egg Curry with Toor Dal

Most of the Childre like Egg. We can make curry with Toor dal and Egg. Toor dal is protien and Egg is also healthy food. so we can give the curry to some kids also.

Ingredients to make Egg curry with Toor Dal

Toor Dal - 50 grms
Small Onion - 50 grm
Red Chill powder - 1 spoon
Bringal - 100 grm
Drumstick - 1
Egg - 4 or 5 Nos
Refined oil - 4 spoons
Coconut - Little bit
Tamarind - Little bit
Turmaric powder
Sweet Cumin ( Perunjiragam)- 1 spoon
Curry leaf

Method to prepare Egg Curry with Toor Dal

1. Wash and pressure cook the dal, brinjals, drumstick with 2 cups of water.

2. Then add some Red chill powder, salt and Tamarind liquid and bring it to boil for 5 mins.

3. Meantime heat a pan, add 2 spoons of oil to fry small onion (For quick fry add little bit of salt), when it comes redish minimize the flame.Add eggs in to it mix it well for 1 min.

4. Add this mixture in to the boiled curry.

5. Grind coconut and Sweet Cumin and add this mixture in to curry.

6. Finally prepare the tempering by heating the oil and frying the mustard seeds, curry leaves and asafoetida until the mustard seeds crackle. add this to the curry and simmer for 3 minutes.
