Ingredients required for Tamil Recipe Beans Paruppu Usili

Toor Dal – 1 cup
Beans – 1 cup
Green chillies – 2
Red Chillies – 2
Urad dal – 1 tbsp
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Oil as required
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Salt as required

Method required for Tamil Recipe Beans Paruppu Usili

1.Soak Toor dal for 1 hour, grind this without adding water
along with green chillies.

2. Add required amount of salt to the above mixture and mix well.

3. Cook this in a pressure cooker for 15 mins.

4. After cooking, cool and break them into small pieces.

5. Take oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, red chillies and urad dal.

6. Add beans to the kadai and cook the beans with turmeric powder and salt, till they are crisp.

7. Now add the cooked dal to the kadai and mix well with the beans.

Serve hot with rice.

Variation: you can use avarakkai or kothavarankai or karamani instead of beans.
