Mappillai is a Tamil comedy film directed by Suraj. This film is the remake of the 1989 Super hit Tamil movie Rajinikanths "Mappillai". Dhanush plays the role of Superstar and the director Suraj introduces a new heroine "Hansika Motwani" to Tamil industry through this film. Hansika Motwani has acted as a child actress in many advertisements such as Rasna, Bournvita, etc., she has also acted as a child actress in many hindi serials.
