Kanyakumari - The best tourist destination for summer

Summer vacation is already on the move, people are migrating like birds to cold climate places and some are very particular in visiting relatives houses and others are much interested to see the tourist spots. Kanyakumari is the border of tamilnadu and it is a very interesting place to visit. The natural scenery of kanyakumari reminds and make us to feel that we are in some heavens place because of its tall and dense coconut trees, large quantity of plantain trees and other natural resources really make us to forget our city. The climate is comparatively better than Chennai, the people are very friendly and their language is a mix of two state that shows the integration between Kerala and Tamilnadu, the tamil speakers of Kanyakumari has a Keralite malayalam slang, which is different for us to hear.

The Kanyakumari amman temple

Before Independence when foreigners were coming to India in a ship they can't able to find out a light house and they felt very difficult to find out the sea shore, during that time they have seen a light, they followed that and they have reached the shore. The light was nothing but the glittering of the nose stead of Kanyakumari amman post to this incidence the sea shore facing door/entrance of the temple is closed to avoid misguidance for the ships to get landed. This was the ancient story and the fact is that the glittering of the nose-stead of kanyakumari amman is still more powerful. people from different state culture and rays visits this temple and getting the blessing of the god.

Gandhi Mandapam

There is one more surprise to see in kanyakumari, during Gandhi jayanthi the sun rays falls in the Gandhi mandapam in kanyakumari. this shows that the nature is paying a great tribute to the great leader on his birthday.

The Vivekananda rock

We all know about Vivekananda, who is from Calcutta who spreads spirituality messages across India and other countries. its been told that during his visit to Kanyakumari Tamilnadu he sat in the particular rock and meditated.

Thiruvalluvar statue

we can say with whole pride that Thirukural has covered the maximum topic which a human can pass through from his birth to death. He was been respected and shown to others in a big way, yes his huge statue in the mid of the sea is astonishing and beautiful.

The sun rise and sun set in Kanyakumari

This is the very good spot to have a clear view on the sunrise and the sunset, so lot of tourists are visiting this place to have a relaxed time and many foreigners do meditation during the sunrise, the belief is that they get more power and the concentration level will stay for a longer period.

Kanyakumari from Tamilnadu

Everything is good and tempting to visit this place. There are certain tourist spots were we can go directly without any booking, its because of the accessibility and crowd in that particular location. There are places were we have to make a plan before three to four months to block the tickets, We saw everything about Kanyakumari but its already too late to decide to visit the place, is that so? you are wrong everyone has a thought and previous experience tells us that traveling through bus to Kanyakumari will take at least 15 to 16 hours, because of the roads and routes. So no one likes or thinks to go by bus, until or otherwise on urgent requirements.

But now the scenario is vice versa, we don't want to wait for the train to reach Kanyakumari, because of the new four way road which was recently inaugurated one can reach Thirunelveli approximately in 11 hours in Tamilnadu Government transport corporation bus, where as the same distance is covered within 10hours of time with a private omni bus. With our own transportation like car or jeep we can travel Chennai to Thirunelveli in 7 to 8 hours, from there Kanyakumari is less than 3 hours. Now people are very happy and they are not upset of the train tickets unavailability, they go by bus to all the major locations like Trichy, Madurai, Thirunelveli and Kanyakumari. The road allows two buses at a time and there is a continuous road divider which will not allow other vehicle to cross in between So, we can also plan for a short trip to Kanyakumari this summer holidays.

Have a happy and wonderful summer vacation with your family in Kanya Kumari
