This year the elections were held on 13 April 2011 in Tamilnadu to elect members from 234 constituencies . The results are expected to come on 13 may. According to the pre poll surveys AIADMK is expected to win the Tamilnadu election without any problem this year in 2011. The present Government is supposed to loose because of various reasons like corruption allegations and recent food price rises. Moreover AIADMK is also expected to benefit from the joining of DMDK and its leader Vijaykanth which are expected to increase the vote share of AIADMK.
