But here in this Temple Lord Muruga with his wives Valli & theivanai also appear as 'Suyambu' structures. Another Great feature is that there is a the name of the Lord Muruga is called to be Dhandayudhapaani. This is because in this temple he holds a weapon called 'Dhanda'. This hill temple also has a temple and spring in the name of the mystic called Paambaati Sitthar. He is very well known in South India. He is also referred to be 'friend of Snakes'. He has also done many curative medicines happened due to Snake bites and had practiced many medicinal herbals for curing Diseases. During Vaikashi Vizhagam there will be a prayer to the Lord Muruga with a special bath using 108 vessels of milk. During Thai poosam there will be a function called Brahmotsavam for about 10 days. This hill temple is also known for its mind-blowing 'Prasatham'(food prepared specially for God) called Panchamirdham. It is very tasty and it is made up of many traditional fruits.
