Tourist Places in Karaikal Nagapattinam Tamilnadu
The distance of Karaikal from Nagapattinam is 18km and 12kn from Nagore. It was once a French settlement and a trading centre. The place has become famous due to the situation of the temple for the saint Karaikal Ammayar. This temple is popularly called Karaikal Ammaiyar Temple. The real name of the saint was Puithavathiar, means Lady of Merit.
