Yercaud Hill Station in Tamil Nadu


The distance of Yercaud from Salem is 32kms. This beautiful hill station is situated on the Shevry Hills at a height of about 1500metres above the sea level. Yercaud is the only hill station in the whole northern Tamilnadu. The word Yercaud means in Tamil Eri means lake and Kadu means forest. The air in this place is fresh, pure and invigorating. Yercaud Lake


The first think that attract the visitors is the beautiful Yercaud Lake. This lake is popularly called pride of Yercaud, situated at the heart of the town. A perennial mountain spring feeds the lake. Verities of bushes, flowers and trees border the lake. Apart from being an excellent picnic spot, boating is a popular entertaining event in Yercaud Lake. Adjoining the lake is the sacred Shola or wooded grove where a feast is held every year.

Killiyur Waterfalls Yercaud

Servarayan Temple Yercaud
