Why computer peripherals are not produced in India?

India is one of the fast growing countries in the world in the field of Information Technology. Every year many thousands of computer experts are come out from the engineering colleges. It is very normal that top level engineers are highly attracted by western countries for handsome salary. In this level too the computer engineers working in India are achieving their best in all aspects of computer world. Like television and radio, people start purchasing personal computer for their home use. Generally the young children show more interest towards computer and multi facilitated cell phones. In India, world class computer experts are working and earning good revenue through their hard work. Due to large selling of personal computers and laptop, we need large number of computer engineers. As a result the employment in the field of computer sector is increasing day by day.

At present, USA and China leading in computer export. China supplies low cost computer peripherals as compared to America but the it is of sub-standard. No doubt India is doing wonderful job in the computer field but it is very half hearted to say that it is lagging far behind in producing computer peripherals. India shows more interest in purchasing the parts of computer than assembling in our country. This is because of the fact that in China the computer parts are produced in homes and it is termed as cottage industries. The people of China have complete knowledge of producing computer parts in their home. As a result of this, they can supply these parts to low cost than America. Being a neighboring country, China supplies its products directly to Himachal Pradesh and from there it moved to all regions of India. Due to low cost, China dominate in the world market in supplying computer peripherals. Self produced computers in India are costlier than imported computers from China. All the above reason constitutes why Indian IT companies not shows interest in producing indigenous computer parts.
