About Dr.Sivanthi Aditanar College
Dr.Sivanthi Aditanar College was inaugurated in 1995 by Padmashree Dr.Sivanthi Aditanar. The college is located on Tiruchendur – Tirunelveli road of about 5km distance from Tiruchendur. This college is provided 6 UG courses and 5 PG courses approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University. A good infra structure with separate building with latest modern facility for each Department and its Lab exists inside the campus.About Chairman
Padmashree Dr. Sivanthi Adityanar is the chairman of the college and the dedication of his service made towards Education would never be countable and said in few words. He was born on September 24,1936 and had his education at Presidency College affiliated to University of Madras. Moreover during his curriculum and service he had a good number of respectful positions in various Universities in Tamilnadu. He is also a good sports man and has a passion towards sports which made him to fetch more medals and awards.
Courses Offered in Dr.SACOE college
Dr. Sivanthi Aditynar College offers 6 UG courses and 5 PG courses in regular stream with UG degree for Four years and PG degree for Two years. In UG degree the first year would be a non semester with two semesters in other three years with a project to be presented in final year by the students according to their curriculum syllabus. PG degree consists of four semesters with two in each year and the Students of PG are also required to submit a project report during their final semester according to their curriculum syllabus. The decision of doing their curriculum project within or outside the campus duly lies in the discretion of the management and they may change it accordingly with proper intimation to the students. Sivanthi Scholarship – This scheme has been launched to help the students willing to undergo their PG courses. Moreover the students who score first rank and joins PG course are being motivated by providing Rs 2500 per month according to the scheme.
2.Computer Courses – The College provides computer course after their college hours daily at 5pm and with these course students are more benefited towards knowing the latest technology.

The College has 2 Men's Hostel and 2 Girls Hostel. A Girls Hostel has been constructed very recently. Both the Hostels are being provided with Veg and Non Veg Menus.

This department started to function from the year 2009. This department is headed by Mr.Suthan with 8 Staff members. The department is provided with an air conditioned room with latest computer system with Internet facility. Several seminars are being conducted for the students from various Industrial experts and moreover to expose the talents of their students the department is conducting various programs. Overall the department not only provides Education to its students in spite fine tune them with latest technology developments.M.B.A
This department is functioning from the year 2008 with intake of 60 students. The department is headed by Dr.Nagarajan with 6 staff members. The staffs are given an opportunity to carry out their PhD degree. The department is filled with well experienced staff members with wide work experience from different sectors of industries. The class rooms are air conditioned and the department has a fully fledged Library with huge collection of books, news papers and journals. The department regularly arranges seminars from various Industry experts with few Industrial Visits. Several programs are also being conducted to enhance the student's skills and students are being assisted with placement facilities.Civil
This department was started in the year 2002 with intake of 60 students and it is headed by Dr.Maheswaran with additional 11 staffs. This department has got NBA accreditation and approved PG Structural Engineering course from this year. The staffs are said to undergo PhD degree. The Lab of this department exists in different names like Fluid Mechanics Lab, Strength of Materials, Concrete Lab and the students are provided with latest trends being adopted in construction industries from various industrial experts.Information Technology
This department was started in the year 2001 with intake of 60 students and headed by Mrs. Ebenezer Juliet with additional 11 staff members and the department got its NBA accreditation only this year. The department consists of Lab with latest computer systems and Library with huge collection of books. The students are also provided with scholarship schemes and a club named BIOS conducts several programs to its students. Last year DRDO sponsored Rs30, 000 for research works to their students. Special training towards GATE, MAT, GRE etc are given to students. It was a record last year that 95% of students were placed in MNC like Wipro, TCS, CTS, Accenture and many more.Electrical
This department is functioning from 1997 with intake of 60 students ever year and the department got NBA certificate in 2008. From current year ME – VLSI has been added. The department is headed by Selvi with 13 staffs and this was the department which was built up for 2 crores with latest equipments and infra. Several staffs with different specialization like Microwave, Optical communication, Connective systems, Applied electronics, VLSI Design and Embedded systems exists in the department. The department staffs and students have won several awards and scholarship. The research scholarships are guided by Tamil Nadu State council for Science and Technology. In addition MAT Lab, AN Soft Design, AN Soft HFSS, Xilinx, Cadencs, Networking simulator softwares with addition of P Spice, Multisim RIDE software's are also being installed in the Labs. A separate library with huge books exists in the department building.
According to this department no project from outside are accepted and students should handle and design a project on their own with staff guidance inside the campus. Delegates from BSNL, AIR, ISRO and many more are invited for seminars and several programs like Tech Quiz, GD, Paper presentation, Circuit Design and Debugging are conducted to students. Special training towards GATE, GRE, TOFEL are given to its students and students of this department are placed in Wipro, HCL, TCS and many more.Electrical and Electronics
This department was started in 1995 with intake of 60 students and it is headed by Samuel Muthuraj with 11 staff members with NBA Accreditation. A Lab with good facility and latest equipment and software's like P spice, Etab, Mat lab exists. Electrical association of Sivanthi exists for the benefits of the students. The students of this department are being provided with various free courses and trainings and students are being place in well known MNCs.Computer Science
This department was started in the year 1995 with intake of 60 students and from 2008 the intake has been increased to 120 with NBA Accreditation. PG course was started with 20 students a year and the department is headed by Wiswlin Jiji who published various journals and seminars with 22 staff members.
This department has won several awards from various universities and the staff participate in various department to enhance their skills. AICTE and DRDO sponsored a huge amount for research works by both students and staff. The department consists of Lab with latest computes and a seminar hall. Several seminars from industry experts are conducted on regular basis and the department conducts various activities through its club and the students of the department are being guided with placements and being placed in top MNCs.Mechanical Engineering
This department was started in the year 1995 with intake of 60 students and in 2008 got its NBA Accreditation. The department is headed by Aldrin Raj with 12 staffs. Separate division of lab with latest facility exists. Some of the software's like Ansys, Catia, and Mechanical desktop, AutoCAD, MiniCAD, Pro E, Edge, CAM and MAT Lab exists. Training through CNC Lathe and CNC Milling are also being carried out. The machine Lab is provided with a huge budgeted instruments. The department has an internal Library and has Tie ups with various MNCs. Several presentation, Programs and placements are being carried out by the department.
