The story of Myakkam Yenna is about a young man who wants to come up in his life. Dhanush who isknown as Karthik Subramaniam wants to become a freelance photographer tries hard to get the name and fame on the field. For this reason he tries to get the guidelines of Ravi Prasad who is well known in that field. Dhanush wants to be a assistant to him for this he makes many trials and meets difficulties.
Dhanush himself tries to make something good out of his continues hard work. He captures many videos which could make him a famous photographer. But in turn nothing in the fortune of Dhanush comes. He was just asked for taking the photographs of weddings and unfamiliar actors. Dhanush has the burning desire to achieve in his life which would make the present youth to have some urge to come up in their life.
Dhanush is not shown with a big family. He has a single sister as his only households. Dhanush is more of dependent on his friends. Dhanush eats and even sleeps in his friends home. Dhanush is well shown as a very good enthusiastic man among all his friend. He is considered as the very good character boy among his friends.
The love affair with Richa starts when Dhanush's friend introduces his girl friend (richa) to Dhanush. The relationship between the two starts with misunderstanding and finally ends in love. After many meetings between the two gives some understanding among them and the love blossoms. Coming back to Dhanush's ambition he begs to Ravi Prasad to make him as his assistant. But Ravi Prasad denies to accept Dhanush as his assistant. With the burning desire Dhanush tries some how to become a leading photographer. In between there comes the tough days for the hero Dhanush when he suffers from many personal feelings.
The love with Richa strained because of his friend. In order to antagonize his friend Dhanush tries to get separated from Richa. But the situation makes him not go far away from richa. The two gets married and their marital life do not go on happy as Dhanush was humiliated by the famous photographer. He is well advised by Richa and tries to bring him back to the normal level. She encourages that he could do many more good photographs. The feeling of not becoming famous photographer makes him more frustrated and starts his life with alcoholic dinks. He is often seen on the road for some time and sometimes looses the interest as he could not succeed in his desires.
The turning point of the film happens when Dhanush happened to click a good photograph of a very unnatural bird in the forest. He captures the video of an very unnatural bird after a heavy chase. That would be the turning point in the life of the hero. As he becomes popular for the video he has captured he is known by all. Dhanush achieves his aim at last.
The Tamil director selvaraghavan has moved the first part of the play very cleverly and fails to make some good effort in the second half. The jokes with Dhanush and his friends may not be an interesting one for the viewers. The Music by GV Prakash is enjoyable. The song "Oda Oda Dhooram Koraiyala , Kadhal En Kadhal" are remembering ones. So we can watch the film at once and enjoy it.
