Is this traffic diversions getting on your nerves in Tamilnadu?

Traffic diversions pose a great threat to office goers - especially when they are suddenly announced of such diversions in the last minute while rushing to work! Recently, such sudden traffic diversions have upset the Chennai people. So I thought, why not discuss on such a topic - what say?

Hi all,

I hope you all were aware of the fact that our prime minister Man Mohan Singh visited Chennai recently for some political discussions regarding Kudankulam Nuclear plant. The day he left Chennai will remain in my memory for the rest of my life! You must be wondering why?

I usually start to my office at 8 in the morning, from Mount road. This day, I start as usual. The MTC bus in which I was going, suddenly took a right, just before Sun TV office. The reason was, it was Anbalagan's 90th birthday party. Then for almost 2 hours, the traffic did not move even for an inch. This was because, Manmohan Singh was going to the airport!

Then the bus finally went to Kathipara Junction via T Nagar, West Mambalam route! I was supposed to go to Perungudi and thus, from Kathipara, I had to go to Pallavaram. From there, i took a bus to Sholinganallur. And from there, another bus to Perungudi. That day I reached office at 1.30!!! I was supposed to reach office at 9.

Today, I was coming to office in my bike. I usually take the Cenetoph road and come to Perungudi via Gandhi Mandapam Road. Suddenly, they blocked the Cenetoph road, due to which, I was diverted to Saidapet, then to Madhya Kailash via Anna University! I reached at 9.30 today!

Now, people, due you think all these things are to be dealt with immediately. We office goers are already in a hurry; eat partial breakfast; rush to office in a fear of getting memos if late. In such a tension, these Traffic diversions are just making the stress worse!

I beg the CCTP to kindly inform the public about all the diversions before handed instead of holding it a surprise to the office goers and school children in the mornings!
