All of a whole the Tamil movie Udumban is a entertaining film for everyone. It is a mixture of love and thriller. The bike racer Dilip Roger has really acted well as a rural boy in this film. The Heroine also entertains the crowd by her crisp role, who has proved his skills in tracks bike racing has done a decent job and Sana, has managed to impress audience in her role.
Director Ramji S Balan has directed well the movie and gives a good message to the viewers about the present problems especially in the educational management. Udumban Hero Dilip Roger plays the vital role as happy go guy. He does some little theft for his daily expense. He utilizes an udumbu which means iguana for his work of steeling. The lizards "Udumbu" is known for catching something very firmly. He throws the lizard on the top of the wall after tying it with a rope. When the lizard catches the wall he climbs up the wall and many other places. It is because of that lizard "Udumbu" the film is named as "Udumban".
The turning point in the hero's life in Udumban> comes in a very series circumstances. Hero Dilip Roger plans to start a school which would fetch him more money and a respectable status in the society. After a huge efforts by Dilip Roger he starts a matriculation school in his own village. Dilip Roger utilizes the theft property for the constructions of the school building. The Problem for the hero comes whence he is arrested by the police for his previous theft. Making use of this time Udumban's brother Kaalai becomes the in charge of the matriculatino school. Now the problem is raised by Udumban's brother when he starts to collect more money from the school stuents. He urges the parents to pay more fees to the school. As a "villain Duty" he does many problems in the village.
Isai Priya (Sana) in Udumban also was disturbed by Kaalai when she comes to know about Kaalai's illegal activities. Isaipria works as a clerk in that matriculation school. After her knowledge about kaalai's illegal activities he plans to kill her. But on the critical situation Udumban saves her from kaalai.
The climax of the Udumban movie goes as Rodger tries to win over Kaalai. Rodger and Isaipriya takes the efforts together to increase the standard of the government school in their village. As a result the quality of the government school is improved and many well talented students come up in it. So many poor and middle class people happy in admitting their wards in the government school. Through this Udumban helps the village and brings an end to his brother kaala's cruelty.
