The stadium consists of various amenities like rooms for players, physiotherapy, medical and officials, conference rooms, VIP lounge and ample parking facility. Two important necessary factors for hockey stadium are ground surface and lighting. The sports development authority of Tamil Nadu by taking this consideration decided to make this stadium as a stadium with world class facilities and infra structure. In 2004 the management redesigned and started its up gradation and renovation work and the stadium was laid with the synthetic turf and after the renovation work the stadium was equipped with a synthetic hockey surface and flood lights of international standards. The lighting for the stadium was given much importance and the stadium owns a high class flood lighting schemes by considering the climatic factor the stadium was provided with a leading reflective light system and an internal baffle was to reduce the glare of the player. The stadium has its own pride for hosting the championship trophy with top 6 teams in the year 1996-2005.
