In year 2011 about 42,000 administration quota places which were given by single window counseling gone empty. But in year 2012 about 28,000 more places will be added to the current engineering places medium and the guardians will not be requisite to book a place for their child in any Top 10 Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu any longer.
Tamilnadu supremacy added three new government institutions that will initiate its admissions procedure from the educational year 2012-2013. In 2012, about 100 new colleges are waiting for green light by AICTE. In state many colleges are granted to increase their seats by the starting of new session.
Some officials from Anna University Chennai while talking to media said that currently the Anna university has not known any objection about spaces being booked or sold. As per officials, number of seats in engineering is more from now so he said that from now it is not necessitate for the guardians as well as for the students to lose sleep about getting admission in engineering colleges any more this year as more spaces are offered by single window counseling system as compared to year 2011. In year 2011, spaces were unoccupied in most of the top colleges. Out of the 2,305 authorized spaces only 2,151 spaces were full and out of the complimentary seats offered in administration engineering institutions only 126 remained unoccupied.
Further adding this, he said out of 2, 26, 034 engineering spaces, about 64,880 spaces were gone unoccupied. Some sources from SASTRA university planning and development department advise guardians to take pressure for booking seats and not to use the financial ways for booking seats and have confidence in their ward's skills.
