Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (KLTA) starts with a Kuthu song with all the three friends Siva (Sethu), KK (Santhanam), Power (Powerstar Dr Srinivasan) going steady with an unbreakable bondage. The film is a good remake of 'Indru Poi Naalai Vaa' of K Bhagyaraj.
When the trio sees beautiful Soumiya (Vishakha Singh) land in their neighborhood , they try to befriend her in their own ways without the knowledge of the other .While Siva goes to her house as a neighbor and performs all the errands of Soumiya's 'Chithi' Kovai Sarala bearing all the bangs from her mischievous brother. KK goes to the house as a disciple of Ganesh (VTV fame), to learn music while Power enters the house to learn dance from Soumiya's father Sivasankar- a Dance Master played by real Sivashankar the dance master himself.
When Soumiya learns that real intention of the three friends is to marry her and settle in life she is shocked. Mami, a neighbor and trouble shooter (a nice portrayal by Devadharshini), advises her that the real colour of the trio will come out if Soumiya tells them that she loves someone else , so that she can marry the person who has true love towards her. Soumiya tells the trio that she is already in love with Simbu, the film actor, and now Simbu refuses to meet her.
Frustrated, KK and Power turn against Soumiya and to revenge their bitter experiences with their masters, they thrash both the gurus. But Siva continues to be the household friend of Soumiya as before which makes Soumiya turn to Siva. Soumiya meets Siva and asks him to come with a memorable gift for her forthcoming birthday. Siva mistakes that Soumiya is still longing for Simbu. He meets KK and Power and they go to Chennai and meet Simbu in a shooting spot and tell him about Soumiya's love. Simbu drives them away and the trio seeks the help of a rowdy in Kumbakonam to kidnap Simbu and marry him to Soumiya.
Whether the trio kidnaps Simbu and whom Soumiya marries among the trio is the rest of the story.Verdict:
The scenes where Power learns dance and KKs singing classes with Ganesh are hilarious. Power star Srinivasan takes a new avatar as a Comedian contrary to his image. His scenes with Santhanam receive exploding applause from the audience. Manikandan has done a neat job for a new director. Amidst the story being a remake, the movie has turned is a pleasant laugh riot.
