How the Teaching Experience is Calculated for College TRB Interview?


Recently Teachers Recruitment Board TRB of Tamilnadu announced the notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Government Arts and Science College in various Subjects. After the notification, Now TRB explain how the teaching experience is calculated for college TRB interview.

At the end of May TRB announced the notification for the post of Assistant Professor in Govt Arts College. In initial notification there is no clear explanation about how the teaching experience of Assistant Professor is calculated for TRB interview.

After the court hearing, Honorable High court of Madras directed the Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamilnadu to clarify how the teaching experience for the post of Assistant Professor in Government Arts and Science College. Finally TRB published corrigendum on last Friday about how the Teaching experience is calculated.

Teaching Experience after getting the Full Qualification for Assistant Professor only consider for TRB. The Qualification for Assistant Professor is vary from time to time. The Qualification of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor is determine by the University Grant Commission UGC from time to time.

The Qualification for Assistant Professor by UGC is given as follows.

Before 1991 -P.G with 50% minimum marks

1991 to 1993 -P.G with 55% minimum marks with passed in NET/SET.

1993 to 31.07.2002 -P.G with 55% minimum marks with NET/SET. Exemption for M.Phil or Ph.D completed before 31.12.1993

01.08.2002 to 14.06.2006 -P.G with 55% minimum marks with NET/SET. Exemption for Ph.D completed before 31.12.2002

15.06.2006 to 30.06.2010 -P.G with 55% minimum marks with NET/SET. Exemption for Ph.D for taking P.G Class and M.Phil for U.G class.

After 30.06.2010 -P.G with 55% minimum marks with NET/SET. Exemption only for Ph.D holders.

Teaching Experience clarafication Notice

If you Get a Particular qualification in the above time slot, then your experience is consider for your post. After 19.09.1991 P.G with 55% marks with NET/SET/Ph.D is the essential Qualification. Exemption for M.Phil in 1993 to 31.07.2002 if you completed M.Phil before 31.12.1993 and M.Phil in 14.06.2006 to 30.06.2010 for taking U.G class.
