The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) announced the results of its Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for the year 2023. The results were announced on 10th June 2023.
A total of 1,19,848 students appeared for the entrance exam. Out of these, only 16,965 students have been selected for the counselling process. This the percentage of shortlisted students is 14. 155% only.
The counselling process is the gateway to admissions to the colleges accepting the COMEDK - KCET score. The cut-off marks for the medical education courses are announced as under:
- MBBS: 626 marks
- BDS: 596 marks
- BAMS: 576 marks
The counselling process will begin on 15th June 2023. At first, admissions only for unreserved seats will be conducted. Then phase 2 will be processed for the reserved category seats.
The COMEDK 2023 results have once again proved that merit is still the key to success in India. The results have also shown that the competition for medical seats in India is very high. Students who are aspiring to pursue a career in medicine must start preparing early and work hard to achieve their goals.
