The USA to remove COVID vaccine requirements

This post focuses on the new changes happening in the USA in relation to COVID vaccines. The requirements of vaccine shot compulsion will be stopped from 11th May 2023.

Amid new changes that are taking place in the world of health, The United States of America is going to end the mandatory requirements of COVID vaccine shots for federal workers, contractors and foreign air travellers. This will take effect from 11th May 2023.

While this applies to people doing air travel, those crossing the land borders are still having a requirement for COVID vaccine shots. The exception will be brought to Head Start educators, healthcare workers and a few other skilled personnel.

Dr Ashish Jha who is the White House coordinator mentioned that the vaccine shots have tremendously helped to reduce the load of COVID-19 patients. The new variants of 2021 to date have been kept under control and the sufferings of people have also been reduced. The successive waves have less affected the populations of the huge country.

Since then the requirements of people coming back to physical office work have increased and also the viral load has decreased. If the administration does observe an increase in COVID-19, vaccines may be brought in as a requirement, but for now, the mandate will be removed.
