Emulate these State Government buses

The inter-city buses run by the Karnataka State Transport Corporation are really very comfortable. These Volvo buses run throughout the State and to some destinations in other States as well. They are reported to be running in profits and it is also reported that these buses are always full.

Other States like Tamil Nadu, which once had very good buses, should learn lessons from Karnataka. Even the Andhra Pradesh Government buses are far better than those of the Tamil Nadu Government, at the moment. And the Transport Corporation is running into huge losses.

The State Governments should emulate the Karnataka model, which seems to be best in India. We need reasonably priced Government buses to compete with the private buses that charge a huge sum, particularly during the festival season and during the weekends, when the young IT crowd would need to travel to far destinations.

There is always some lesson or the other to learn from successful business models.
