Today is the birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan

Today that is December 22 is celebrated as National Mathematics Day in India every year. Today is the birth anniversary of legendary great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
As we all know Ramanujan was a scholarly person and his work in Mathematics is acknowledged and accepted by academicians world over.
I remember our great mathematician on this eve.

I had received many posts on WhatsApp today on this matter. Some posts gave the biographic sketch of Ramanujan. Some gave some interesting mathematical examples also.

Somewhere inside I felt a pain about a genius not being properly understood and appreciated during his life time. There can still be many such unrecognized talents living among us. due to various reasons. While on one side mediocrity is celebrated, there can be real merit going undiscovered and unrecognized
