With Gujurat being a dry state, no alcohol was available but the various soft drinks provided an acceptable alternative - especially the cold coffees with ice cream and sweet lime sodas.

I stayed here with family for 4-5 days & nights during Diwali vacation.All staff were helpful and courteous - this proved particularly very useful for auto-rickshaws and providing detailed instructions to the drivers and advising the price before we set out.
We have any chance to ahmedabad visit so i will stay here again if we return to Ahmedabad.
For any one coming to ahmedabad the hotel en sure that you have the give the add. drivers to the hotel know where it is. we had no problems for find as rikshaw drivers merely showed the address to people until they found someone to guide them!
Large and spacious rooms
Hotel with very large and Beautiful rooms. The room was a more facilitis and a more space, I felt very good in there and thank you to this I had no problems with acclimatization. Staff very nice and helpful, I did not have any problems. Generally very clean.
Great Service
The service of the staff was great, being attentative to your every need. The rooms were spacious and were well maintained throughout the day. Really enjoyed the breakfast, which had a variety of excellent options. It will be an even better hotel once all their facilities are opened
This hotel, which is a bit outside of the downtown area, was an excellent choice. Much cheaper than the big int'l chains; the Fern rivals the bigger boys in customer service and cleanliness. The breakfast buffet included has a large selection of both Indian and Western items. The rooms are great, with very convenient controls for lights, curtains, temp control all from one display by your bed. The bed was very firm, which I like, but you may want to ask if they have other options if you don't care for firm beds. The rooms were also extremely quite, which was a surprise after seeing the road and railroad tracks just outside. I never heard a thing.
Nice experience
My expectations from a hotel are very high and Fern came up to that The rooms were absolutely stunning with state of the art features. Bedside control for all lights and curtains, 180 degrees swivel TV mount, unlimited internet on multiple devices, great food, they also can make food if it's not on the menu, just ask for it.. Very professional at the airport. and How can I forget wonderful washroom
It was a real nice experience staying at The Fern. The staff was very pleasant and the rooms were excellent in terms of cleanliness n maintenance. The controls inside the room for light, curtains etc.were quite hi tech. Location of the hotel was nice,accessible from all major points in the city. Overall extremely satisfied with the hotel

Ahmadabad is growing very fast these days. It has two big ring roads around it to avoid the main city traffic. One is S.G Highway which is well connected with 132 ring road. 2nd is S.P.Ring road which mainly run parallel to the outer village areas, which are not a part of municipal area. Hotel Fern is situated on the S.G.Highway. This beautiful hotel has various kind of rooms to stay in. All the windows of the rooms have beautiful landscape of far green areas of the city. Well connected with the airport by traffic free roads. Gujarat High court, Capital Gandhinagar, all big malls, Pharmaceutical sez, Nal sarovar lake, Akshardham is nearby

This is one of the best business hotels In Ahmedabad. The rooms are very clean and all the current technology is used in the room particularly for opening the room curtain. This is electrically done. All the electrical switches are modern switches which gives a elegant look in the room. The bath room accessories are of very good quality and the batch room design is excellant. With this design you will always find your batch room in dry condition. Food available in the restaurant is excellant. I suggest all the readers if they want to go to Sasan then there is no other option then The Fern .
Excellent forest resort with all modern amenities
The fern sasan gir is a perfect weekend getaway . Its a nice jungle resort with all modern amenities. Its close proximity to sasan town is an added advantage. Worth staying for two nights. The food is also very good and the staff is very efficient and cordial. I recommend the rooms near the swimming pool on the first floor with a view of the river on the backside of the resort. To sum up I would just say that spend a few days amongst the lions and stay at The Fern to make your stay luxurious and comfortable.
The Fern Gir Forest Resort comfortable for stay & decent food
We arrived at the hotel a week before the national park closed for the monsoons and the hotel was packed to capacity.
Food - only vegetarian with the exception of eggs. But they have multi-cuisine and they got almost all the cuisine right. I was craving for some local cuisine and it came by in parts on different days, instead of one day with a Gujarati/Kachiawadi menu.
Accommodation - The stay was really comfortable. Refusing the upgrade option, we decided to stay at the tents with AC and they were great! Only issue was that the locks invariably ended up getting stuck at ground-level when using the zipper-doors.
The staff gave us good information about food options, safari tips and the times at which we should be standing in the queues for getting the safari permits. Some other hotels helped their patrons to get permits by sending some orderlies/drivers/others to stand in the queues overnight in lieu of the patrons so that by morning the patrons would be right at the head of the line. Fern gir didnt do that, thats the right thing to do, but becomes inconvenient for some tourists/patrons.
There's nothing much to do at the resort if you have spare time. The swimming pool is a joke and the spa is inexplicably expensive, at almost the same rates as the best spas in big cities like B'lore/Mumbai or Delhi. Why? It just doesnt make any sense.
All in all, good for the stay. Almost everybody goes to Gir for the national park. So, all one needs is a comfortable bed, clean rooms, friendly staff and decent food. you will get all that at this resort. May be a tad too expensive though.
