Narrow Sightedness of Educational Institutions in Mumbai

Educational Institutes in Mumbai have a short scope for a students development since the institutions are mainly concerned with theoretical knowledge and concepts that are beneficial only in a particular field of the work that the student is about tot undertake during his work life after his education. The discipline meant to be inculcated by educational institutions to its students are not binding on the students and are for a short term basis only.

The discipline and education meant to enhance a students potential in this ever changing world has been taken up by educational institutions in Mumbai for a short term time limit which will have a temporary mark on the character and knowledge of the students studying in the respective institute. Institutions in Mumbai emphasize on theoretical and knowledge which has no practical value in this dynamic world.

The Narrow Sightedness of the Educational Institutions in Mumbai is also a disappointing feature. By the word Narrow Sightedness, I mean the knowledge which is imparted to its students lasts only for a short duration in the minds of the students and is not applied by the students in the business world when they step out into the real world.

Another negative feature of the Educational Institutions in Mumbai is that they pressurizes its students with constant exams and tests which are so frequent and are for long duration of time, that the student gets flustered and his focus is completely destroyed. This may be substituted for the pressure and anxiety in the future work routine, but the fact is that students need to get adjusted to pressure and anxiety in a sequential fashion and it cannot be done abruptly.

Therefore, in order to overcome this shortsightedness of the educational institutions in Mumbai, the concept of self study and initiative on the part of the student needs to be taken in order to benefit the students life,as well as the future career of the student and the focus should not be given to education and theoretical knowledge, but life and eclectic wisdom as a whole.
