Applications are invited for recruitment for the post of Gram Sevak and Gram Sevikas by the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development Assam. The total number of seats is 251 and is divided as 120 Gram Sevaks (Only male candidates) and 131 Gram Sevikas (Only female candidates). The salary for the post of both Gram Sevaks and Gram Sevikas has been decided as-
Grade pay- Rs 2400/ per month
Pay scale is Rs 5200-20000/

All graduates from any discipline from a recognised university are eligible to apply for the post. Also the candidate must be minimum 21 years of age and Maximum 38 years as on 1st January 2011.
