History of St. Luke's School, Solan:
St. Luke's School had its begining with only 8 students in the year 1955 in Subathu , the cantonment area few kilometers from the main Solan town.It was then named as Ephiphany School with rev. fr. Christanand as its founder in 1957.
St. Luke's School was finally shifted to Solan and housed ion a rented building known as Badru-Khan house .
St. Luke's School in Solan was named after one of the gospel writers St. Luke. In 1962 the school was provided with the permanent recognition due to the strenous efforts of Rev. Fr. Cristanand , who rendered his services to the School till 1973.
Though the School had humble begining with just 8 students , but with the passage of time it made rapid strides and the present strength is more than 2000 students. The rise in strength brought the need for more accomodation, hence a seperate building for primary students was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Gerald John Mathais.
