DMK & congress seat sharing drama ended Tamilnadu elections

Give and take policy by DMK Chief Karunanidhi,DMK & Congress Seat Sharing Drama ended with agreeing to allowing Congress to contest 63 seats by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi's give and take policy.

In the initial stage of negotiation DMK was not willing to give 3 extra seats to Congress for the forthcoming election in Tamil Nadu on April,13 2011. Starting from the initial negotiation stage itself the DMK has not accepted the additional three seats demand by Congress. Congress send a special high level negoiater from New Delhi to Chennai to press so much to get the 63 seats but adamant DMK not accepted the seat sharing with Congress. In the middle of the high drama DMK Chief criticised the Congress and threatning to resign the DMKs Central ministers from UPA Government and supporting from outside on issue base. On the other end Congress was not ready to accept not less then 63 seats. The seat sharing issue or this high political drama played by DMK is not for the 3seats to Congress but to put the PM Manmohan Singh and Sonia to get the assurance in the on going CBI 2G spectrum case, not to allow the CBI to interrogate Kanimozhi is the main reason behind this Drama, as the CBI on 2G case has to submit it report by 31st March 2001 the dead line given by SC. In the end of the game Chief Minister gave a statment for allowing the Congress for 63 seats is on "give and take policy". We may come to know later on only what congress will give to DMK after taking the 63 seats from DMK. Let us wait for a week to get more news on 2G case outcome which will give true picture of the high drama played by DMK.

Atlast, the seat sharing in Tamil Nadu Election, the DMK and allies have finalized their seat sharing as follows:-

Total seats 234.
