Since their arrival, they exploited our country in all aspect such as economically, politically, ideologically and spiritually. They ruled our country for more than 3 centuries. After two centuries of their cruel ruling, the first freedom struggle for Indian independence began on 1857. In the beginning, Indian Freedom fighters like Bipin chandra pal, Bal gangadhar tilak, Rani Laxmi bai, Lala Lajapat rai and many more who raised their voice against the British rulers.

The Indian national congress was formed in 1885 by A.O Hume. With the formation of INC, the freedom struggle get intensified against the British rulers. From 1919 onwards a new chapter opened in the Indian freedom struggle, that is the participation of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi choose the path of peace and non-violence. He firmly believed on the policy of non-violence and asked the people of India to follow the policy to get the freedom of India. He had the power of uniting mass people under a common cause of freedom struggle . He started few movement against the British rulers, non co-operation movement in 1920, civil disobedience movement in 1930 and quite India movement in 1942. He was arrested and put behind the bars several times. Not frustrating with the situation he continuously fought for the freedom. Finally, in the midnight of 15th August, 1947 we got the freedom and India became a free nation.

To achieve the goal of freedom many Indian leaders and common people shed their life So, it is all our responsibility to uphold the values of freedom by making our nation proud and and people to live in peace and harmony. Jai Hind, Jai Hind, Jai Hind.
