Recipe for Diwali Sweet Maa Laadu (Flour Balls)

Ingredients to make Maa Laadu (Flour Balls):
Fried gram - 1 kg
Sugar - 1 Kg
Ghee - 1 Kg
Cashew Nuts- 50 Gms
(Big size)
Cardamom - 5 gms

How to make Maa Laadu
Both fried gram and sugar to be grinded nicely in a mixture separately to powder and mix it appropriately by adding equal measures one by one.

Cardomom can be powdered and added to the above mixed flour.

Keep a tawa(kadai) on heat and pour the ghee to meld. Cashew nuts may be fried lightly to turn into colour below red (may be orange say) in ghee and taken out. This is the finest part of the sweet, that small portion of flour and fried cashew nuts to be mixed and when ghee is very much hot pour it to the flour mixture gently and do the balls by pressing nicely with both the hands so as to flour to come as a nice ball. Repeat this for the entire portion of mixture of flour, ghee and cashew nuts.

This is good in taste and the colour will be in light yellow which add beauty to the sweet.

It will long last for about 10 to 15 days.
