Biography of Debendranath Sen : Famous poet of Bengal

Debendranath Sen was born 1852. He was a followers and students of Biharilal Chakraborty. He was accustomed to western Literature and Culture. That is why he had a great knowledge over lyric-poem. He spent a long life outside the Bengal. He wrote many poems in Bengali Journal which made him a renowned poet.
His lyric-poems were a molded and colorful with the touch of fiction in it. He himself clarify the fact that he was inspired of Michael Madhusudan Dutta. It was noted in some of Debendranath Sen's poems. But he was further inspired of his contemporary, Rabindra Nath Tagore. Sen followed Tagore's language, process, and framing of poems and applied it. Debendra Nath was far famous for his describing the beauty of nature. And for him, one of the favorite parts of the nature had been Flower.
Debendranath composed most of his poems in the period of first two tenth of 20th century. He was the priest of beauty. In his poems, he added the flavor of romanticism within the common, regular daily life of Human Beings. Though in process of adding romanticism, he, never reached to outer space. He kept it within the boundary of the Earth, water and sky. He felt the love and beauty that inherits within the society and expressed it in his poems. Love of beauty and women were expressed in his poems.
Debendranath Sen composed many Sonnets. Those sonnets were characterized by thoughts, well-composed, simple and straight. They are not too much over emotionally expressed. His poetic metre was absolutely mistake-less. He maintained his intrinsic and originality by portrayed our daily life in poetic-metre and this makes him a distinguished poet of Bengal.
Some of his poems are: Urmila Kabya, Apurba Birangana, Apurba Brajangana, Ashok-guchchha, Apurba Naibedya, Nirjhorini, Paritaj-guchchha, Golap-guchchha, etc.
This famous poet was passed away in 1920.
