How to make Fish Chop in Bengali style


Fish Chop is a good evening snack and is also a very easy recipe. Here it follows

Ingredients required for Fish chop


5 Medium Size Fish Pieces (better if they are boneless or Bhetki Pieces)
3 Potatoes
2 Onions
1-tablespoon Chill powder
½ table spoon Cumin Powder
1 tablespoon Ginger paste
1 cup Bread Crumbs
½ cup White Flour
2 tablespoon roasted peanuts
Salt according to your taste


Method of Preparation of Fish Chop, Bengali recipe


Boil all the Fishes and potatoes separately and let them cool.
Smash them on different containers and add salt according to your taste.
Heat oil in a big vessel and add the sliced onions, fry the onions till golden brown
Add Ginger paste, cumin powder, chilli powder and sauté.
Now add the smashed fishes and potatoes there and fry them for 2 mins
Now turn off the flame and add peanuts to the above.
Let it cool
Now make medium size balls out of this mixture.
Now in a separate container, mix the white flour with some water to make a batter.
Dip each of the above made balls in the batter one by one and slowly.
Now coat each ball with the bread crumbs and place onto a different palte.
Do this for all the balls and then place them like that for 1 or 2hrs
Now heat the oil in a pan and deep fry each ball till golden brown
After picking each ball from the pan after deep frying, you can place them in a tissue paper so that extra oil is soaked
Now Fish Chop is ready. Serve it with salads and sauce.
