Egg Curry Recipe in Bengali Style


Egg Curry is a much-preferred recipe almost in all houses in Bengal. It is very easy to cook also.

Ingredients for Bengali style egg curry


4 hard-boiled eggs
2 medium sized potatoes, peeled it and cut into cubes
1 cup of green peas
½ tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoon mustard oil
1 chopped onion and makes a paste of it
1 tablespoon of turmeric
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
3 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon chilli powder
Salt to taste


Method of Preparation of Egg Curry in Bengali flavour


Heat oil in the frying pan.
Add the boiled eggs and fry them till they are orange-yellow color.
Now take the eggs out carefully and keep them aside.
In the same oil fry the potatoes until gets light browned and remove and keep aside.
In a kadai take 4 tablespoon of mustard oil. And heat it.
Add the cumin seeds.
Once they splutter add the ginger garlic paste, onion paste and fry for a min.
Now add the sugar.
Next add turmeric powder, chilli powder and tomato ketchup.
Fry it well.
Now add the potatoes.
Now add a little water and fry it till oil starts to separate.
Now add the fried eggs and the green peas now.
Cook it well till it boils.
Serve it hot with Rice or Roti.
