In this article I am going to post a delicious rayalaseema recipe which is a combination of Sorrel leaves (Gongura)and Brinjal. This dish is so sumptuous that once if your family members tastes this will ask you to prepare it again.

Sorrel leaves 2 bunches(leaves should be small)
Brinjal 1/2 kilo
Onions 1 (finely chopped)
Chillies 3 (slit the chillies into half)
Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
Tomato 1 (medium size)
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Dhaniya Powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2tbsp

For Seasoning

Mustard seeds 1tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Garlic Cloves 3
Dry mirchi 2
Curry leaves

1. Take a kadai and put 2 tbsp oil.
2. Once it heats put onions, green chillies in the kadai.
3. Once the onions turn golden yellow color add ginger garlic paste and fry for 1 min. Later add tomatoes and fry for 3 mins until tomatoes cook.
4. Later add brinjal pieces and fry for 3 mins until the brinjal changes color. 5. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric, dhania and salt and mix thoroughly.
6. After they got mixed thoroughly add 1/2 cup of water and let it cook.
In between check for the water consistency as the brinjal has to cook until soft, if necessary add little water accordingly.
7. Later put the sorrel leaves and check whether the leaves are totally immersed in water. Leave it for few mins until the water gets evaporated.
8. Later mash the Sorrel and brinjal curry with spoon or pappu gutti until it is soft.
9. Take another kadai and put 1 tbsp of oil and heat it.
10. Put mustard seeds, jeera, dry mirchi, cloves and curry leaves.
11. Lastly put this seasoning in the mashed curry.

This curry is good with jowar roti, phulka and rice. Enjoy the delicious dish.
