Recipe for Palak Paneer


This resource is about how to prepare Palak Paneer. Palak Paneer is a very delicious Indian curry. It is easy to cook and can be prapared for all occasions. I will explain the ingredients required & the procedure of making Palak Paneer in this article.

Ingredients required to make Palak Paneer



Spinach (palak)- 500 gms

Paneer - 150-200 gms

Garlic - 2-3 flakes

Onions - 5 medium sized

Cummin seeds - 1 tbsp

Cooking oil - 6-7 tbsps

Roasted cumin seeds (jeera) Powder

Garam Masala

Chilli Powder

Salt to taste

Method of making Palak Paneer



1.First, the Spinach must be cooked in water.

2.Make puree of the spinach leaves after draining the water.

3.Finely cut 4 onions and fry them briefly over high heat (saute) till they become transparent.

4.Grind to a fine paste the garlic flakes along with the other onion.

5.This paste must be added to the sauted onions along with the puree and the spice powders. If necessary, add some water.

6.Allow it to boil for a 1-2 minutes.

7.Cut the paneer to desired size, but not too small and fry it in oil till it becomes golden brown.

8.Now this paneer should be added to the palak prepation .

9.Now Palak Paneer is ready to be served hot with rice or chapatis.
