How To Make Oats Dosa Recipe


In this article, I will explain how to make oats dosa recipe which is very healthy and good for diabetic patients due to its low carbohydrates when compared to rice. This recipe is very tasty and it can be prepared within 10 minutes.

Many of us do not know what to make with oats. So we often end up with making oats porridge. But there are many things that we can do with oats. Oats dosa recipe is one example. Oats is very rich in fiber and it is very good for the diabetic patients. This will help us to control the sugar level in our blood, because it has low carbohydrates compared to the rice we take. So here is the procedure to make oats dosa. Follow it and have a healthy life.

Ingredients :



  1. Oats - 1 cup

  2. Water - 1½ cup (approximately)

  3. Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 table spoon

  4. Small onion - 1

  5. Small tomato - 1

  6. Green chilli - 1

  7. Chopped coriander - 1 table spoon

  8. Red chilli powder - ½ table spoon

  9. Salt - ¾ table spoon

  10. Garam masala - ½ table spoon

  11. Turmeric powder - ¼ table spoon

Things to do first :



  • Make oats well ground to a powder. It has to be smooth. Then only the dosa will be soft. So powder the oats well.

  • Take onion, chop it very finely and keep it.

  • Take tomato, chop it very finely and keep it.

  • Take green chilli, deseed it and chop into many small pieces

Method :



  1. Mix powdered oats, chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped green chilli, dry fenugreek leaves, chopped coriander, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala and turmeric powder in a bowl with pouring required amount of water to it.

  2. Mix the content well to make a batter of pouring consistency

  3. Heat a non stick pan. It should not be too hot.

  4. Remove the non stick pan from the fire and pour the battered content. Spread lightly.

  5. Bring the pan to fire. Turn over when the underside is cooked well and cook the other side.


This recipe is very healthy and tasty as well. This can be served to maximum 2 to 3 people. The time taken to prepare this is 8 to 10 minutes. Serve this oats dosa with chutney or ketchup. Try this at your home and have a healthy life.
