Recipes : How to make different mango delights at home
This resource is a guide to mango cupcakes, mango chicken and mango barbeque recipes. It also deals with the nutritional value of this fruit we call ' the king of all fruits '. The sweet cupcakes and the chicken can be easily prepared at home.
With the summer season comes the king of all fruits-mango. It is loved by all and can be used to prepare some nutritional and refreshing delights at home. The recipes of these are provided below.
Flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, egg, vanilla extract, unsalted butter, fresh mango puree, lime juice and corn starch.
1.Preheat the oven to 175 degree Celsius and grease the muffin tins. Twelve cupcakes can be prepared from the prescribed quantity of ingredients.
2.Sift together ¼ cup flour, a pinch of salt, ¼ table spoon baking powder and set aside. Now prepare a mixture of 6 table spoons unsalted butter and ¾ cup sugar. Beat until it turns fluffy. Add 1 egg and 2 table spoons of vanilla extract to this.
3.Mix all. Blend well and fill the mixture to only 2/3 height of the tin.
4.Bake for around 15 minutes and then cool on a cooling rack.
5.Now a filling has to be transferred inside the cupcakes with the help of paring knife and pastry bags. For the filling, boil half cup fresh mango puree, 4 table spoons of sugar, 1 table spoon of lime juice and add half table spoon of corn starch already mixed with 1 table spoon cold water. Once the mixture thickens, the filling is prepared.
6.For the icing material, whip one cup unsalted butter, 2 half cups of powdered sugar and 2 table spoons of vanilla extract in an electric mixer.
7.The fresh mango cupcakes are ready with an icing of vanilla cream.
Broiler chicken, wine vinegar, dried thyme leaves, brown sugar, egg, ginger, garlic, onion, mangoes.
1.Mix half cup vinegar and thyme together. Pour this over 4 pieces of broiler chicken and cover.
2.Refrigerate the chicken pieces for almost 2 hours, turning occasionally.
3.The chicken needs to be removed from marinade and sprinkled with salt in a baking pan. In the meantime, half cup brown sugar, 2 table spoons ground ginger, 1 minced garlic clove, 2 cups chopped onion and ¼ cup vinegar should be heated in a saucepan.
4.Heat 2 medium sized chopped mangoes and pour over chicken.
5.Heat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the chicken for around 50 minutes. Check the texture by inserting a fork in the chicken piece.
6.The thick sweet vinegar syrup prepared in the saucepan can now be poured over chicken and served.
Mango, cilantro, capsicum, rice wine vinegar, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper and boneless chicken thigh.
1.First blitz together half cup chopped mango pieces, ¾ cup fresh cilantro, 2 grilled red capsicum, 1 table spoon rice wine vinegar, 4 garlic cloves, 2 table spoons lemon juice, 1 table spoon oil, pepper and salt in a food processor. Prepare a smooth mixture.
2.Add half of this mixture to 500 grams boneless chicken thigh. Mix well and refrigerate. The other half of this mixture is to be heated until thick.
3.Thread the chicken in metal skewer. Preheat charcoal grill and barbeque for around 20 minutes, turning and basting occasionally until cooked.
4.Pour the hot mango mixture over barbeque chicken and serve.
Full of antioxidants like vitamin C, beta carotene and potassium, mangoes have high nutritional value and help prevent cancer, heart diseases and constipation. Ripe mangoes balance the vatta, pitta and kapha of the body.
Due to the high sugar content, people having diabetes or a weight loss schedule should avoid the mango recipes.
